The 10th Masonic District of New Jersey welcomes you to our website. This website will provide masons and non-mason with invaluable information about Freemasonry. If you are already a member of our organization you will find this website provides a gateway of communications between the lodges and members of the 10th Masonic District. You can keep up to date on events within our district, Grand Lodge and various charitable and Masonic programs we sponsor or volunteer for. If you are a non-member you will find this website full of information on Freemasonry and how you can get involved. Historian, author and Civil War News columnist

Joseph G. Bilby

will be the featured speaker at an American Civil War Lecture “New Jersey Goes to War” hosted by Azure Masada Lodge No. 22, Free and Accepted Masons of New Jersey. The lecture will be held on Monday, June 4th at 8:30 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge Hall, 478 South Avenue East, Cranford NJ.

Joseph Bilby, a resident of Wall Township, has a MA degree in History. He is the author of more than 250 articles and 14 books on New Jersey and military history and outdoor subjects. Noted among his works are: Irish Brigade in the Civil War; Remember You Are Jerseymen!; and his latest book Freedom for All – an account of New Jersey’s African-American Civil War Soldiers. Mr. Bilby is a columnist for The Civil War News and New Jersey Sportsmen’s News and contributing editor for Military Images Magazine. He has appeared on the History Channel’s Civil War Journal and the Discovery Channel’s Discovery Magazine as an expert consultant on the Civil War and 19th century firearms and wrote the liner notes for David Kincaid’s Civil War music CD album. Mt. Zion Treasure Hunt

Fourth Annual Metuchen Treasure Hunt

Mt. Zion Lodge in conjunction with What’s-the-Scoop is hosting a treasure hunt for kids on June 9th, 2012. Children are challenged to solve puzzles by receiving clues that they receive from different establishments in downtown Metuchen, N.J., ultimately leading them to the final place where their treasure awaits. This hunt follows the theme of the well known movie “National Treasure”. To register or read more about this event click here.    

The new 10th Masonic district Logo

In January 2012, Officers from the 10th District came together and participated in a S.W.O.T. program sponsored by our DDGM. There are many projects that emerged from this program and our new logo & website are among them.

Grand Master of Masons of the State of New Jersey

M.W. Glenn R. Trautmann was elected and installed as Grand Master on April 3rd 2012 at the 225th Annual Communication.
