Historian, author and Civil War News columnist
Joseph G. Bilby
will be the featured speaker at an American Civil War Lecture “New Jersey Goes to War” hosted by Azure Masada Lodge No. 22, Free and Accepted Masons of New Jersey. The lecture will be held on Monday, June 4th at 8:30 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge Hall, 478 South Avenue East, Cranford NJ.
Joseph Bilby, a resident of Wall Township, has a MA degree in History. He is the author of more than 250 articles and 14 books on New Jersey and military history and outdoor subjects. Noted among his works are: Irish Brigade in the Civil War; Remember You Are Jerseymen!; and his latest book Freedom for All – an account of New Jersey’s African-American Civil War Soldiers. Mr. Bilby is a columnist for The Civil War News and New Jersey Sportsmen’s News and contributing editor for Military Images Magazine. He has appeared on the History Channel’s Civil War Journal and the Discovery Channel’s Discovery Magazine as an expert consultant on the Civil War and 19th century firearms and wrote the liner notes for David Kincaid’s Civil War music CD album.
